Construction noise at work assessments

On site the noise is intense and it moves — breakers, cut-off saws, cartridge tools and plant, different every week. We measure your operatives' real exposure across the trades and keep it compliant under a fixed-price 4-Year Care Plan.

Typical daily exposure · construction
88–105 dB(A)
Breakers, disc cutters and cartridge tools routinely run past 100 dB(A), and even short bursts build a daily dose over the exposure limit. Site noise also carries hand-arm vibration alongside it. A task-based measurement is the only way to get a defensible figure on a changing site.

Typical noise sources on site

Concrete / road breaker~105 dB(A)
Cut-off / disc saw~108 dB(A)
Cartridge nail gun (peak)~130 dB(A)
Dumper & plant~90 dB(A)
Piling / breaking rig~100+ dB(A)
Angle grinder / chasing~97 dB(A)

Typical published/measured figures for the equipment itself — your own exposure depends on time-at-task, layout and controls. Only a measurement confirms your figure.

Common questions

Our tasks change every week — how do you assess that?

We assess by task, not just by day. Once we know the noise of each activity and how long it runs, the daily exposure follows for any mix of work.

Do you do peak-action (sudden loud) noise too?

Yes — cartridge tools and impact work are captured against the 135/137 dB(C) peak limits as well as the daily dose.

Can you cover multiple sites under one plan?

Yes — the Care Plan keeps every site on the same review cycle under one fixed fee.

What does it cost?

From £895 + VAT per year, fixed for four years. The 60-second check gives an instant guide.
